What does Google actually see on your site?

Type your address. We will look at your site the way a search engine and an AI assistant do, and tell you what is missing, plus the first few articles we would write for you. Free, a few seconds, no account.

Five things that decide whether you get found at all

None of these are opinions about your design. They are the mechanical facts a crawler reads first, and every one of them is either true or false about your site right now.

  • Does your homepage have a title and a description?

The title is the blue link in Google. Without one there is nothing to click. The description is the sentence under it; when it is missing Google writes its own from whatever text it finds, and when it is too long it gets cut off mid-sentence. We report which of the three applies to you.
  • Can Google find all your pages?

We look for a sitemap and read it. No sitemap means Google discovers pages only by following links, which on most small sites leaves whole sections unfound. If you have one, we count what is in it, including sitemap index files, which most free checkers stop at.
  • Do you publish articles, and enough of them?

We look for a blog or articles section and count what is published. Search engines reward depth on a subject: a handful of posts rarely establishes it, and no articles at all means there is nothing for an informational search to find.
  • Does your content answer the questions buyers actually ask?

Almost every search someone makes before buying is a question. We check whether anything on your site is shaped like an answer to one, because that is what both Google's AI Overviews and assistants like ChatGPT quote.
  • Are you blocking the AI crawlers?

We read your robots.txt and check it against the crawlers that feed ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI features. Blocking GPTBot means ChatGPT cannot read or cite you at all. Plenty of sites block them by accident, from a template they never edited.

Questions people ask

Is the check really free, and do I need an account?

Yes, and no. You type an address and get the findings. There is no sign-up, no card and no email wall in front of the result. If you decide to go further afterwards, the address you typed is carried into sign-up so you do not type it twice.

Do you store my website's content?

The check reads your homepage, your robots.txt and your sitemap the way any crawler would, and reports on what it finds. It reads only pages that are already public.

How long does it take?

A few seconds. It fetches a small number of public files rather than crawling your whole site, so it does not put load on your server or wait on a queue.

What if my site is brand new, or has no articles yet?

That is a useful result rather than a failed one. A site with nothing published gets the clearest report of all, and the suggested first articles are the ones worth writing before anything else.

Does it work on any platform?

Yes. It reads the public HTML, so WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, Next.js and hand-written sites all check the same way. Which platform you are on only matters later, when you connect a site for publishing.

How is this different from your AEO Checker?

This check looks at a whole site: is it findable, is anything published, is it open to AI crawlers. The AEO Checker scores a single page on how ready it is to be quoted as an answer, with all nine checks and their weights shown. Use this one first, then that one on the page you care most about.
