SEO.ai vs IT Master: two autonomous agents, different checks

Both run without you: find topics, write, publish. SEO.ai adds a link exchange network and Google Ads on a monthly subscription. IT Master has a second vendor's models judge every draft and bills per published article.

Four diagnostics: site check (/check), AI Visibility Checker, AEO Checker, AI Crawler Check. They inspect a site; they do not write copy.
choose SEO.ai if
  • You want off-page work in the same subscription: their link exchange network places backlinks automatically, and the plans include building and optimising Google Ads. IT Master does nothing off the page.
  • Your site runs on Wix, Squarespace or Magento and you want the tool to publish there itself; those are listed CMS connections for them, while IT Master gives Wix and Squarespace a copy-paste queue.
  • You want a human in the loop by default: their SEO specialists spot-check output, free human support is in the plan, and you can require approval before anything goes live.
  • A flat monthly fee is easier to budget than per-article billing, and at high output $149 for a single site may work out cheaper per page than paying for each one published.
  • You are an agency or freelancer running many client sites and want one self-serve platform covering content, links and ads rather than assembling the stack yourself.
choose IT Master if
  • You want the checking done by models that did not write the piece — fact-check, novelty, E-E-A-T and AI-tell from a different vendor — rather than by periodic human spot checks.
  • You hold first-party data (product specifications, datasheets, support answers) that should be the substance of the articles instead of a paraphrase of the top ten results.
  • You would rather pay per published article from a prepaid balance than a monthly fee whose included article volume is not published.
  • You run Next.js or a custom stack and want an SDK, a REST pull feed or a signed webhook rather than a CMS connector.
  • You want the pass rates in the open: across 186 Standard-tier runs, 51% of drafts passed every check first time; the rest were revised or rejected.

What SEO.ai is, in its own words

SEO.ai is a Copenhagen-built platform that sells itself as "AI SEO - done for you by an AI agent", with the promise "More traffic from Google and ChatGPT. Zero extra work". The agent "creates ranking content, publishes it to your website, builds relevant backlinks, and keeps your visibility growing — 24/7".

The loop it describes has five moves: find "the search terms your customers already use", create the content the site needs to rank, publish it straight to the site, build backlinks through a link exchange network, and keep going in the background. "Fresh new pages go live every week." Setting up is meant to take minutes: "We support all major platforms, including WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, and many webshop systems such as Shopify, Magento, and more", and their FAQ says no developer is needed.

On 2 September 2026 the price was $149 a month for one website in one language, or $299 for up to three websites or languages, excluding VAT, with a 7-day trial and no binding period on monthly plans. Quality assurance is people: "our SEO specialists continuously review and make spot checks".

Two agents, two ideas of quality control

Both products are agents rather than writing desks. Both pick their own topics, write without a prompt from you, and put pages on your site on a schedule. The difference is who inspects the draft.

SEO.ai's published answer is people. Their FAQ says: "The AI performs the research and writes, but our SEO specialists continuously review and make spot checks to ensure the texts are good for both Google and readers." You can also insert yourself, choosing automatic publishing, drafts, or review in the platform, with an email before anything goes live. For many sites a human spot check is worth more than a machine one.

IT Master's answer is adversarial machines. Claude writes; Gemini and GPT judge. Four checks run on every draft: fact-check against the research dossier, novelty against every competitor page scraped, an E-E-A-T critique, and AI-tell detection. Failures return to the writer with specific fixes, up to three rounds, and an article that still fails never publishes.

The trade-off is coverage against judgement. Spot checks sample and bring taste; the gauntlet reads everything and has none. See cross-model validation.

in one sentence

IT Master publishes its own pass rates. Across 186 Standard-tier runs, 51% of drafts passed every check first time; the rest were revised or rejected.

Research and grounding: where the facts come from

SEO.ai says "the AI performs the research" but does not publish what it reads. The feature pages describe keyword-led generation — "Utilizing 100 keywords to craft 100 articles is essential" — and the free library leans on keyword volume, intent, clusters and SERP checks. What we could not find anywhere on their public pages is a route for your own data: a product catalogue, supplier datasheets, the answers your support team already writes.

IT Master treats those as the raw material. The research stage scrapes the top-ranking pages and forum threads, then queries a per-site store of first-party data and pulls the specifics into the draft. On the live CCTV tenants (cctvline.co.uk, cctvmaster.co.uk, eurocctv.co.uk) that means real specifications and real installer questions rather than a paraphrase of the manufacturer's brochure. It is also what carries a draft past the novelty check, which scores the page against the competitor pages that were scraped: restating the top ten does not clear the bar.

If you hold no first-party data, the two converge. Both then write from public sources, and the question reverts to who checks the output. See first-party data.

Where SEO.ai does more than we do

Two things sit in their plan and not in ours, and pretending otherwise would not help you.

Off-page. "SEO.AI matches you with relevant sites in our link exchange network, and gets relevant backlinks for you - automatically", listed on the pricing page as "Backlinks from real non-spammy websites", alongside "Builds and optimizes Google Ads". IT Master acquires no links, buys no ads and sends no outreach. If you want content and links from one supplier, that is a genuine reason to choose them. Their public pages do not state the link volume or how partner sites are vetted, so it is worth asking during the trial.

Platform reach. They list Wix, Squarespace and Magento among supported connections. IT Master publishes natively to WordPress and to anything that consumes a feed or a webhook; Shopify and Webflow we connect on request, and Wix and Squarespace get a copy-paste queue rather than a live integration.

If either point decides it for you, stop reading here — you already have your answer.

Publishing, schema and what happens afterwards

SEO.ai's delivery story is breadth: connect a CMS in minutes, no developer, pages appear. What the pages we checked do not describe is what travels with the page. We found no mention of JSON-LD or FAQ schema, no IndexNow, and no pull feed, SDK or signed webhook for a custom stack. "Automated Internal Linking" is listed as a feature, and the content-automation page describes the AI "automatically providing suggestions for link opportunities within your text".

IT Master writes the furniture into the article. JSON-LD, FAQ schema, internal links to your own published pages chosen at write time, and a hero image all ship inside the HTML, and IndexNow pings the engines on publish. Delivery is a WordPress plugin that fills Yoast or Rank Math fields, @itmaster/sdk for Next.js, a REST pull feed, or a signed push webhook.

Afterwards, both watch. SEO.ai's plans include "Monitors performance", and the homepage says the agent "increases your chances of being cited in ChatGPT and other AI assistant". IT Master runs a nightly loop that reads Search Console, refreshes decaying articles, and measures citations in GPT and Perplexity answers for the queries you name. How it works walks through each stage.

Pricing: a monthly plan versus a published article

On 2 September 2026, seo.ai/pricing listed two plans. Single Site at "$149 /per month" covers "one website in one language". Multi Site at "$299 /per month" covers "Up to 3 websites or languages", with "Save 25% with annual payment". Prices exclude VAT, monthly plans have no binding period, and a 7-day trial is offered. How many articles a plan includes is not published, so the cost per page depends on how much the agent decides to write in a given month.

IT Master has no subscription. You top up a prepaid balance and pay per published article; a draft that fails the gauntlet is not charged at the full rate. The four tiers set the writing model and how strict the judges are. Current rates are on pricing.

The shapes suit different buyers. A flat fee is predictable per month and rewards heavy output. Per-article billing is predictable per page, and a quiet month costs less. For reference, median generation cost per article: Lite $0.41, Standard $0.85, Pro $1.46 (our cost, not the customer price).

Free tools before you buy either

SEO.ai gives away a lot: "46 Free SEO tools", no login, spanning keyword volume, intent, clusters and cannibalisation, SERP and rank checkers, a backlink audit and backlink checker, domain rating, an internal linking tool, robots.txt and noindex checkers, an AI Content Detector, and generators for titles, meta descriptions and paragraphs. They describe the library as "a testing ground for some of the different tools we consider in our paid platform".

IT Master's four are diagnostic rather than generative. Site check audits a site before you spend anything. The AI Visibility Checker looks at how assistants describe your brand. The AEO Checker scores a page for answer-engine readiness. The AI Crawler Check tests whether AI crawlers can reach your pages at all.

Run both sets before you commit. Their keyword tools tell you whether the demand exists; ours tell you whether the site can be found and cited once you meet it.

questions people ask

Does SEO.ai fact-check its articles?

Not by a second model, on the evidence of their public pages. Their FAQ says the AI performs the research and writes, while their SEO specialists continuously review and make spot checks to ensure the texts are good for both Google and readers. That is human sampling after the fact, plus an optional approval step before publishing. IT Master runs an automated fact-check on every draft, performed by a model from a different vendor than the writer, alongside novelty, E-E-A-T and AI-tell checks, with up to three revision rounds. We checked seo.ai on 2 September 2026.

How much does SEO.ai cost compared with IT Master?

On 2 September 2026, seo.ai/pricing listed Single Site at $149 per month for one website in one language and Multi Site at $299 per month for up to three websites or languages, with 25% off annual payment. Prices exclude VAT, monthly plans have no binding period, and a 7-day trial is offered. The number of articles or words included is not published. IT Master charges no subscription: you pay per published article from a prepaid balance, and a draft that fails the checks is not charged at the full rate. Current rates are on our pricing page.

Which AI models does SEO.ai use?

Not published. We checked their homepage, pricing page and feature pages on 2 September 2026 and found no vendor or model named anywhere. That is common among agent products and is not a criticism, but it does mean you cannot tell whether the same model writes and reviews. IT Master names its lineup: Claude models write at four tiers, and Gemini and GPT models run the fact-check and novelty scoring, so the model that writes is never the model that checks. Cross-vendor judging is the mechanism rather than a slogan.

Does SEO.ai build backlinks, and does IT Master?

SEO.ai does; IT Master does not. Their homepage says SEO.AI matches you with relevant sites in its link exchange network and gets relevant backlinks for you automatically, and the pricing page lists backlinks from real non-spammy websites alongside building and optimising Google Ads. Their public pages do not state the volume or how partner sites are vetted, so ask during the trial. IT Master is on-page only: content, schema, internal links and an IndexNow ping. If off-page work inside one subscription matters to you, that is a real reason to prefer them.

Can both publish to my CMS automatically?

Yes, with different reach. SEO.ai says it supports all major platforms including WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and webshop systems such as Shopify and Magento, connecting in minutes without technical setup. IT Master ships a WordPress plugin that fills Yoast or Rank Math fields, an SDK for Next.js, a REST pull feed and a signed push webhook to any endpoint. Shopify and Webflow are set up by us on request, and Wix and Squarespace get a copy-paste queue instead of a live connection. Check your own platform first, because that alone may settle the choice.

Which one suits an ecommerce catalogue better?

It depends on whether your product data belongs in the articles. If the pages only need to answer general buying questions, either tool can write them, and SEO.ai adds links and ads in the same plan. If the value sits in your own specifications, datasheets and support answers, IT Master grounds articles in that first-party data, which is what carries a draft past the novelty check against competitor pages and what rivals cannot copy. Its live tenants include UK CCTV retail and trade sites where the catalogue is the raw material. Run a free site check before deciding.
